Avalanche danger warnings issued for Southern Norway this weekend

There is a significant danger of avalanches in large parts of Southern Norway this weekend, the Joint Rescue Coordination Centres reported on Twitter.

From Saturday, the wind will increase in the afternoon, which will also increase the risk of avalanches this weekend.

There is a lot of loose snow Østafjells (east of the Langfjellene mountain range), and in Western Norway, there will be more snow. 

The Joint Rescue Coordination Centres ask people to always check the weather and danger warnings when they plan trips and be careful not to expose themselves to unnecessary danger.
