Bislett knife attack: The man who was shot by the police in Oslo is dead

The police told Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK) that the person who was shot by the police at Bislett in Oslo on Tuesday is dead.

The man was taken to Ullevål hospital after being shot by the police. Operations Manager Tore Solberg told NRK that the man died from the injuries.

The man ended up in a confrontation with the police after trying to attack people with a knife at Bislett in Oslo.

Police were notified that the man attacked people with a knife at 8:57 AM on Tuesday.

“A patrol was close by and ended up arresting the person. First, they tried to run him down when he tried to stab a person. In that connection, a police car collided with a wall, and the police were then attacked by this person with a knife,” police task leader Torgeir Brenden said.
