The British man charged with the murder in Haugesund that took place on the night of New Year’s Day has been remanded in custody until June 6.
The court believes there is still good reason to suspect that the 20-year-old man killed Kjetil Andre Østhus.
In addition, the court believes there is concrete and objective evidence that the man will try to escape if he is released, according to Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK).
A 23-year-old Norwegian man is also charged in the case, but he has not been remanded in custody.
28-year-old Østhus was stabbed outdoors in a residential area in Haugesund.
