Two men have been sentenced to prison in Denmark for defrauding the toy giant Lego for several million kroner over several years.

They have been sentenced to two years and nine months and two years and six months in prison, respectively, the court in Kolding stated.

One of the defendants is the manager of a Danish electrical company, while the other is a Lego employee.

According to the prosecution, the fraud took place when the two defendants overbilled Lego. In total, they are said to have defrauded Lego for 17 million Danish kroner, corresponding to just under NOK 24 million between 2009 and 2016.

The two have denied criminal guilt during the trial.
