A woman was pushed to the ground on Sunday night by a young man in Eidsvoll, who took her shoes and socks and smelled the socks, the police announced on Monday.

The police were notified of the somewhat unusual incident at 7:00 PM on Sunday, the newspaper Romerikes Blad writes.

“A young man asked a woman in her 40s to smell her socks,” operations manager Ronny Samuelsen in the Eastern Police District stated.

“When the woman refused the offer, she was pushed to the ground. Then he took off her shoes and socks and smelled the socks,” Samuelsen added. The woman was not physically injured.

The young man left the place after the incident. Police have searched for him in the area but without success. Therefore, the operations manager asks the public for help.

“If anyone has information on the case, I ask them to contact local police in Eidsvoll.”
