30 people have lost their lives in traffic accidents so far this year

A total of 30 people lost their lives on Norwegian roads in the first three months. That’s  seven more than in the same period last year.

In March  seven people died in traffic accidents, five men and two women. Five were drivers, one was a passenger, and one was a pedestrian. This was revealed in figures presented by Road Safety  on Friday.
There has been a preponderance of mature men in the accident statistics so far this year.
– It is puzzling since this is a group that has a lot of driving experience and mostly drive modern, secure vehicles,  director  in Road Safety Jan Johansen says.
