Tom Cruise is currently filming Mission: Impossible 7. Cruise plays protagonist Ethan Hunt in the movie.
The seventh film in the critically acclaimed action series is set to be released at the tail end of 2021, with filming currently going on during the COVID-19 pandemic.
But the movie is in the spotlight for different reasons right now.
“You’re f*cking gone”
Cruise recently went viral due to a leaked recording of him yelling, swearing, and threatening to fire any crew member who seemingly violated social distancing rules.
It began when the actor supposedly caught film crew standing too close to each other.
He promptly erupted into shouts: “if I see you [violating the rules] again, you’re f*cking gone”.
The actor continued, “No apologies. You can tell it to the people who are losing their f*cking homes because our industry is shut down. It’s not going to put food on their table or pay for their college education. That’s what I sleep with every night!”
It’s unclear what the crew members did exactly.

Mission: Impossible filming in Norway
The film industry, like many, has been struggling due to cinema shutdowns, tighter border restrictions, and myriad other precautions set in place in order to manage the coronavirus.
Mission: Impossible 7 has, so far been filmed in Rome, Italy, the UK, and Norway. Filming in Italy was quickly shut down in February; while in July, shooting in the UK was permitted. Also in July, the film’s cast and crew traveled to Møre og Romsdal in western Norway. In October, filming in Italy was yet again shut down amidst reports of a positive crew member.
What do you think about Cruise’s viral reaction?
