The interior chain Kid has had to close 38 stores in the Oslo area following an order from the authorities.
Now, Kid is announcing that around 300 employees will be laid off.
Kid communicated the decision in a stock exchange announcement on Monday morning.
On Saturday and Sunday, the government ordered all shops in 25 municipalities around Oslo, with the exception of grocery stores and pharmacies, to close after the outbreak of the British coronavirus variant.
