The Red Party (Rødt) wants to increase the total tax level in Norway by NOK 41.2 billion a year.

The figure is stated in Rødt’s alternative budget for 2022, which was presented on Friday.

The budgetary effect of the changes would amount to NOK 29.2 billion in 2022. But when the changes are fully phased in, an increase in the tax level would amount to NOK 41.2 billion a year.

The key proposed measures are increased tax on wealth and dividends and on income over NOK 700,000.
