The Red Cross in Drammen has examined its procedures after the Soldiers of Odin were allowed to use the organization’s premises for its founding congress.
The manager of Buskerud Red Cross, Mari Ann Morken says the person who called her and asked to use their premises, introduced himself as an individual.
– , This is a very unfortunate matter for the Red Cross in Drammen, and one that we could have done without, she says, and adds:
– Unfortunately, this got under our radar, but I can assure you that there is no way that Drammen Red Cross would have allowed them to use our premises if we had known they were the ones who wanted to use our premises for a meeting.
According to Aftenposten was just under 30 members and several support members were present when the group met in the Red Cross premises in mid-March.
–  The values of Soldiers of Odin are not consistent with the values of the Red Cross, and we in no way want to be associated with them. We have reviewed our procedures in order to see how we can ensure that this will not happen again,  Morken says.
