One million passengers traveled with SAS in August

More than 1 million passengers traveled with SAS in August. The figure is in line with the number of travelers in July, but it is 52% higher compared to the same month last year.

A total of 1,087,000 passengers traveled with SAS in August, the company announced on Tuesday morning. Despite the increase from last year, the figure is 70% lower than in the same month in 2019 – before the pandemic – the Danish news agency Ritzau writes.

SAS has reopened many of its routes, but it still operates with fewer departures.

“There are still travel restrictions, and everyone in SAS is doing what they can to make it as easy as possible for our customers.

“We will reopen new routes as soon as the restrictions and the demand allow it,” the company’s CEO Anko var der Werff stated in a press release from the company.
