1,081 employees at Oslo University Hospital are in quarantine due to either close contact with someone with the coronavirus or from travelling abroad.

This is according to a hospital press release on Sunday.

This means that since Friday, more than 400 employees at Oslo University Hospital, which includes Aker Hospital, Rikshospitalet, Radiumhospitalet and Ullevål Hospital, have been quarantined. At that time, the hospital stated that just over 600 employees were quarantined.

A total of about 23,000 people work at the hospital.

14 employees at the hospital have been infected.

“The large number of quarantined staff poses a major challenge for the operation of the hospital and our ability to provide sound health care. We must expect that the number of infected or quarantined employees will increase,” said CEO Bjørn Atle Bjørnbeth.
