On Monday, the new trams in Oslo were tested with passengers on board. The trams are scheduled to be put into ordinary traffic in mid-February.
After weeks of test runs without passengers, Sporveien started testing Oslo’s new trams with people on board on Monday.
On line 13, two trams ran on the stretch between Skøyen and Bråten to test operations in normal traffic – both with and without passengers – making stops at all tram stops.
The plan is for the two trams to be put into ordinary traffic between Lilleaker and Ljabru from February 14.
According to the plan, a total of 87 new trams will be delivered to Oslo by 2024. All existing trams in Oslo will be replaced, and the tram routes will be upgraded.
