In recent days, Stavanger has registered fewer corona infection cases. As a result, it will not introduce stricter infection control measures.
“Infection rates have decreased slightly in recent days. Therefore, we will wait before introducing measures and see how the situation develops,” Mayor Kari Nessa Nordtun told Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK).
The Municipality will reassess the situation on Monday, April 5.
On Tuesday, March 30, 27 new cases of infection were registered in one day in Stavanger. It was the highest daily number since mid-January.
At the time, Nordtun warned about the possibility of new measures if the number of infections did not decrease.
On Wednesday and Thursday, 13 and 17 new cases of infection were registered, respectively.
