A new report from Bane Nor shows that the infrastructure for trains must be renewed at the cost of NOK 9 billion a year for the next 12 years.

24% of the railway network requires maintenance and renewal over the next 12 years, according to Bane Nor’s new report “Infrastatus 2020.”

The cost is estimated at approximately NOK 9 billion annually in the specified period and will cover infrastructure facilities throughout the country.

This includes the ongoing and continuous renewal of the overhead line system and work on rails and switches, among other elements of the system.
