Torgeir Børven (28) is leaving Rosenborg after only three months. The striker has signed a two-year contract with Turkish Ankaragücü.

The information was revealed by the Ankara club on their website. Børven has also secured an option to extend the contract to a total of three years.

Børven was sold to Rosenborg from Odd on June 30. He scored six goals in 16 games for the Trønder-team.

Multi-million deal

According to TV 2, the Turkish club has paid between NOK 2.2 and 2.8 million for Børven.

That would put the price in the same range as what Rosenborg paid for him three months ago.

Ankaragücü finished last in the Turkish Super League last season. As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, there was no relegation from the league, and the club thus kept its place at the top level.
