Norwegian 16-year-old Bryan Fiabema became Chelsea’s first purchase after the club’s transfer ban was lifted, writes VG.
The young striker, who has played several matches for Norway at the Under-15, 16 and 17 levels, signed a 3.5-year contract with the Premier League club on Friday morning, according to the newspaper.
The agreement becomes a professional contract when Fiabema turns 17 in February.
The former Tromsø youth player impressed at a trial in Chelsea in December, and just before Christmas the newspaper iTromsø wrote that TIL had sold Fiabema to the London club for NOK 6 million.
In addition, Tromsø has secured 10 per cent of future resale, as well as bonuses for first-team games.
Chelsea were banned from making transfers in the previous transfer window as a result of a breach of the rules for the purchase of players under the age of 18. Fiabema became the club’s first purchase this year.
