Filip Ingebrigtsen won gold medal in 1500 m in the European Championship

Filip Ingebrigtsen (Norway) won a sensational  gold medal in the 1500 meters in the European Championship in track sports. His big brother Henrik Ingebrigtsen won the bronze medal.

Filip Ingebrigtsen came like a bullet in the home stretch and smashed the competition in the final of the 1500 meters. The 23-year-old crossed the finish line at the time 3.46,65, while Henrik Ingebrigtsen crossed the finish line at the time 3.47,18.David Bustos from Spain got the silver medal.

This is the first time that two Norwegians both get medals in one of the exercises in a European Championship in track sports. Henrik Ingebrigtsen is the first man to win a medal in three European Championships. He won the gold medal four years ago, and the silver medal two years ago.

– It has been very inspiring to train with Henry. Mindblowing to be the first to cross the finish line, Filip Ingebrigtsen  said to NRK news.
This is the first time that the little brother have beaten his big brother when they have been at the same heat.
