Up to 762,000 viewers followed Norway’s European Championship handball match against Romania on TV3 on Monday.
The average was 636,000.
“This is our most watched match so far in the championship, and the numbers are only pointing one way,” sports manager in NENT Kristian Oma noted.
“Katrine Lunde’s great match and subsequent teary-eyed interview with Ole Erevik after the match moved us all.
“And it also says something about how much the whole of Norway cares for these girls,” he added.
Norway plays a new match on Thursday.
