King Harald and PM Erna Solberg congratulate Kristian Blummenfelt on Olympic gold medal

King Harald and Prime Minister Erna Solberg congratulated Kristian Blummenfelt, the Olympic gold medalist in triathlon, after his triumph in Tokyo.

Blummenfelt took Norway’s first medal in the Tokyo Olympics in the triathlon race. King Harald has already congratulated the athlete, the Royal House informed the newspaper Bergensavisen.

Prime Minister Erna Solberg (H) congratulated Blummenfelt via Twitter.

“Wonderful to have the first Olympic gold tonight for Norway and Bergen! Congratulations to Kristian Blummenfelt for the triumph in triathlon,” Solberg wrote.

“A feat! Thank you very much, Kristian Blummenfelt. Not only is this Norway’s first gold in the Olympics, but it is the very first Olympic gold in history in triathlon for Norway,” Minister of Culture and Sports Abid Raja noted on Twitter.
