Four Nordic football associations are joining forces to apply to host the European Football Championship for women in four years.

The information was stated by Denmark’s football chief Jesper Møller, according to the news agency Ritzau.

Denmark has previously looked at the possibilities of holding the championship alone, but the growth of women’s football and the demand for the European Championship arenas have made that plan unrealistic.

The European Championship host for 2025 will probably be appointed in December next year. Poland also wants to host the championship.
