The Norwegian athletics camp was so dissatisfied with the conditions at the hotel in the World Championship city in Qatar that they chose to change hotels immediately.

That’s what Nettavisen writes.

“We have had a very good training stay, we have eaten, trained and lived well, and everything has worked. But then we had a very bad experience when we were to check in at the World Championship hotel yesterday (Tuesday). We were allocated completely different rooms than we had been in and looked at here before,” the athletics association’s sports manager Erlend Slokvik told the newspaper.

Therefore, the Norwegian World Championship camp chose to switch hotels in Doha. They have notified the hotel and are going to demand a refund.

“The athletes were not very happy, to say the least. It was terribly unhygienic,” says Slokvik.

According to Nettavisen, several other nations have also reacted to housing conditions in Doha.

The World Championships in athletics starts on Friday.
