Martin Ødegaard participated in Real Madrid’s Wednesday practice session. Therefore, the chance that he will play the season’s opening game away against Real Sociedad on Sunday has increased.
Ødegaard was feeling unwell a few days earlier in the week. The Real Madrid website can reveal that the Norwegian was back in action on Wednesday.
– He has been unlucky and been a little sick the last couple of days. He has been tested many times and is corona-free, Uncle Thomas Ødegaard told NTB on Monday.
Ødegaard did not come on the field when the Real squad played a training match against Getafe on Tuesday. Real won 6-0, scored by a “topped” team in the first half.
On Wednesday, Eden Hazard was also back on the training field. The same was true of Isco.
Gareth Bale was not to be seen. It is speculated that he is very close to a transfer to Tottenham.
Ødegaard was on seasons-loan to Real Sociedad and was brought “home” this summer. He did very well there. On Sunday, he may be back on his former home ground in San Sebastian.
Defending series champions Real Madrid will choose their squad for match this Saturday. Ødegaard is said to be recovering from his Jumpers’ knee injury.
