Martin Ødegaard has been named the best player in Spanish La Liga in September.
Ødegaard has played superbly for Real Sociedad recently and has received praise from all sides for his achievements. He tops the player ratings in the sports newspaper Marca.
In September alone, the Drammen-born player has scored one goal, assisted two goals, made nine successful dribbles and 194 passes. In short, the statistics are formidable.
Ødegaard was nominated for the award as player of the month in La Liga together with Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema and Villarreal’s Gerard Moreno. La Liga reports via Twitter that the Norwegian was victorious in of the season’s first month’s player rating.
Ødegaard will be presented with the award in front of his own fans during Sunday’s home game against Getafe.
