Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Braut Haaland started the season with two goals and a place on the “team of the week” of the football magazine Kicker.

The Norwegian received a strong 1.5 on the player rankings of the renowned football magazine.

Their ranking is said to be the most prestigious in Germany.

Last season, Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski became player of the year with an average grade of 2.42 points after 31 games.

Three men achieved the best grade (1) this weekend. Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sanè (both Bayern Munich) and Andrej Kramaric (Hoffenheim) impressed most of all in the opening round.

Accompanied by Bürki and Reyna

Haaland was accompanied by two of his teammates on this week’s team: Keeper Roman Bürki (2) and Giovanni Reyna (1.5).

The Norwegian scored once on a penalty and also contributed to another goal in the 3-0 victory over Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Haaland is already up to 18 goals in 20 games for Dortmund. He was picked up from Salzburg in January this year.

The website Transfermarkt has set a sales value of EUR 80 million, NOK 870 million, on Haaland.

If he continues to score, it is not inconceivable that the striker will be valued at more than 1 billion NOK after this season.

Dortmund meets Augsburg away in the next league match on Saturday.

Augsburg is the club Haaland Bundesliga-debuted against with a hat trick last season.
