Both the Swedish and Norwegian royal houses will be represented when Therese Johaug and the rest of the world elite in cross country skiing are in action in the new Ski Tour.
King Carl Gustaf represents the Swedish royal house when the tour starts in Östersund next Friday. At the end of the event in Trondheim eight days later, Princess Astrid, Mrs. Ferner, will also be present, along with the Swedish King.
“To have the opportunity to receive the King of Sweden to both Östersund and Trondheim, and Norway’s Princess Astrid, Mrs. Ferner to Trondheim, is an honor and it gives the event something extra,” says Ola Strömberg, Chairman of Ski Tour 2020.
The Norwegian and Swedish Ski Association cooperate on the innovation that is being arranged for the very first time.
The tour starts in Östersund on February 15th and ends in Trondheim on Sunday February 23rd. On the way, the skiers will also visit Åre and Meråker.
