The people have lost faith in Per Matthias Høgmo’s plan for the national team. Only one out of ten believe he is doing a good job, a survey shows.

The confidence of the Norwegian people is wearing thin after the losses against Belarus and Germany. Only 7.4 percent think Norway will qualify for the World Cup in 2018, a survey done by InFact for the newspaper VG shows.

We can do one thing to strengthen people’s faith in the World Cup ticket, and that is to win football games. Last year we won over people despite their initial skepticism, filled the stadiums with people and became one of the teams which were fighting to become winners of that group.

It’s good that people have so much  involvement in the national team, we are completely dependent on that football , the team’s Media Manager, Svein Graff told VG.

On the question of how good a job Høgmo does, 3.7  percent reply that he is doing a very good job, while 6.7 percent thin he does a good job. Over 30 percentbelieve he is doing a bad or very bad job.

The people, however, is a bit more uncertain on the issue of whether Høgmo shouldstep down as the manager of the Norway. 23 percent replied Yes, 30.8 percent replied no, while the rest replied that they do not know.

A total of 1033 people took part in the survey. There is a margin of error of +/-3 percent.
