Tufte / Borch secured Olympic bronze
Rio de Janeiro: Olaf Tufte (40) and Kjetil Borch (26) took Norway’s first medal in the Rio Olympics with bronze in the double scull.
Tufte has thus Olympic medals in all denominations. He took gold in single scull in 2004 and 2008. In the Double Sculls, he has silver from 2000.
The Norwegian boat had no good start but quickly worked their way up to third place. The bronze was never threatened, but the Norwegians were never close to gold. Croatia won ahead of Lithuania.
