Norway’s national football team manager Ståle Solbakken told newspaper VG that he has been in contact with the police. He accepted a fine of NOK 20,000 for having broken the quarantine rules.

On December 7, the Innlandet police district announced it was opening a case against Ståle Solbakken for alleged breach of the quarantine obligation.

The police opened the case against Solbakken after reading media reports that he broke the quarantine period when he went to Hamar on Sunday night.

“I accepted the fine of NOK 20,000 from the police by phone,” Solbakken told VG on Tuesday morning.

Solbakken’s quarantine period does not expire until Tuesday.
