Avinor introduces fees for VIPs

Avinor will start charging diplomats and bureaucrats using the VIP terminal at Oslo Airport Gardermoen.

Business travelers already have to pay today, to access the VIP terminal at Gardermoen, while people in the ministries and NATO have access for free. But now Avinor has decided charge everyone, according to Dagens Næringsliv.

Avinor will continue to provide free VIP service to the royal family, the prime minister, foreign heads of state and other armed guards. But for other VIPs and companions, according to Avinor, fees will be introduced from January 1, 2020.

Among the largest users of the VIP terminal are the Foreign Ministry, the Royal Court and the Prime Minister’s Office.
