Unstable summer weather has led to a calm start to the summer in terms of the use of the Trekking Association’s cabins in the mountains, with plenty of space for visitors.

“We have room for everyone who wants to go to the mountains, and in many places, the conditions are now great,” Secretary General of the Norwegian Tourist Association, Dag Terje Klarp Solvang, stated in a press release.

He thinks the weather is one of the reasons why some people have chosen to postpone the trip to the mountains.

“In most places in the mountains that you could want to visit now, we can guarantee you a place. It is possible to book a place in advance but also to come unannounced,” Solvang noted.
