Belgium will be considered “red” by the end of the week and will require quarantine upon arrival in Norway if the situation does not change.
The number of infected in the country is 27.5 per 100,000 people in the last two weeks, and the trend is growing, writes the National Institute of Public Health.
-”Therefor, we are already warning that Belgium may be marked as red in the overview of countries that requires quarantine at arrival in Norway.”, says the Chief Physician, Siri Helene Hauge, of the National Institute of Public Health.
The requirement to be approved as “green” and exempted from the requirement of quarantine upon arrival in Norway is a maximum of an infection rate of 20 per 100,000 people. Belgium lies below 20 during the last assessment on Thursday. Stricter infection prevention measures were introduced on Monday, including reducing the number of close contacts outside of the family to 5 per person.
