Fløibanen in Bergen has taken its last trip for this year. Now, the funicular will undergo an extensive upgrade.

At midnight on September 20th, the last official Fløibane tour for this year took place.

The track will be closed until April 1st next year due to large-scale upgrading, Bergensavisen wrote.

During this time, all five stations will be rebuilt to be universally designed for prams and wheelchairs, longer prams will be in place, and the cable car will be upgraded.

The upgrade is expected to cost 160 million Norwegian kroner.
