Tourists from Europe can once again travel to Norway from July 15, but there are still some hotels that are wary of opening their doors.
Among others, The Clarion Aurora in Tromsø will continue to remain closed until further notice.
-” It will cost more than we would like to re-open.” Said the head for Clarion Collection Hotels, Øyvind Alapnes, to NRK.
In Tromsø, only 40 percent of all hotel rooms are being put to use compared to almost 70 percent at the same period last year. In Oslo, only a quarter of all rooms are being used, while over half mid July 2019.
Kristiansand, on the other hand, stands out, with the hotels being almost fully booked.
