The changes in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ travel restrictions mean that the Kiel ferries to Color Line will once again be able to take passengers from Norway to Germany and vice versa.

Since the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (UD) on 14 March did not advise against strictly necessary trips to all countries, Color Line’s ferries Color Fantasy and Color Magic have been moored in Oslo.

In recent weeks, the ships have had an offer for passengers who want to complete the journey to Kiel, but without going ashore. But from 15 July, it will be possible to go ashore, the company states in a press release.

Germany is Norway’s most important tourism market, and Color Line is the largest single player by sea from Germany and Europe to Norway.

– “That is why the decision in the government today is important for Color Line and for Norwegian tourism,” says CEO Trond Kleivdal in Color Line.

Due to the infection situation, Color Line’s ships between Sandefjord and Strømstad will for the time being remain docked at Sandefjord.
