Drunk and aggressive Lithuanians broke into an aircraft at Gardermoen

Police had to use pepper spray to gain control of a drunken man who pushed past the gate at Oslo Airport Gardermoen, walked out onto the runway and boarded a plane.

The flight from Air Baltic was flying to Riga on Monday morning.

According to police, it appears that the man in Lithuania in his 30s had a ticket, but that he was denied access. He then pushed past the gate and made his way to the plane, which was parked some distance away and was really only accessible by bus.

– He walked across the runway. This is strictly regulated and noone is allowed to be there. So there are many violations, says Operations Manager Ronny Samuelsen in the Eastern Police District to NTB.

The man continued on to the plane.

– He was not wanted there and the police had to get him out. He resisted, and pepper spray was used, says Samuelsen.

VG has published pictures from the site showing that the man was carried out of the plane in the horizontal position by four police officers.

The plane had to be evacuated and cleaned after the incident, but eventually flew to Riga. Instead, the man ended up in the emergency room and the was arrested. A lawyer will now consider what actions he can expect from the powers.that be.
