Custom Agents at Gardermoen have seized over 600 illegal knives during the first half of this year, an increase compared with the corresponding period last year.

According to NRK, Customs has confiscated as many as 180 knives in one day.

The police state that most of the blades are ordered online, and often from Asian countries. 40 percent of the orders are boys and men aged 13 to 28 years.

– “This is worrying. There are too many illegal violence products coming in to Norway today. Customs efforts will probably save lives and certainly prevent a lot of damage, and it is important to us,” says Tor Fredriksen, Head of Division in the Customs Agency.
