Many Norwegians booked their summer vacation at Easter

The second day of Easter was the best sales day at the travel agency Apollo since 2019. Sales are now back to the level before the pandemic.

The Easter week led to a total sales increase of 35% compared to the week before at Apollo.

Greece is the holiday country most of Apollo’s customers chose for their summer vacations. Crete, Rhodes, and the Epirus region on the Greek mainland top the list, but also smaller Greek islands are increasing in popularity, the travel agency reports.

“Security is still important. That is why a record number of people choose traditional package holidays this year, and the majority travel to well-known destinations such as Greece,” Beatriz Rivera, communications manager at Apollo, stated.

Croatia, Cyprus, Spain, and Albania are also on the list of the more popular holiday countries.
