The government will continue travel restrictions from March 14 and advise against travel that is not strictly necessary to all countries.
“We are not making any changes,” Foreign Minister Ine Eriksen Søreide (H) told NRK.
The reason is first and foremost the unclear situation worldwide.
– “We see that the infection rates are increasing everywhere,” says Søreide.
“In addition, it is now very difficult to get to and from different countries. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has invested considerable resources in helping Norwegians get home from abroad, but that window is closing,” says Søreide.
“It’s getting worse and worse,” she says.
