Poor passenger numbers and poor profitability mean that Norwegian Air will cut all flights from Torp to Spain for the summer of 2020.

This means that Norwegian will not have any flights from Torp after April 1 next year.

– As part of our strategy to move from growth to profitability, we are constantly working to optimize our route network. As a result of this work, the routes from Torp to Alicante, Malaga and Las Palmas will not be continued. We have no other planned routes from Torp for the summer of 2020, ” senior communications manager Tonje Næs in Norwegian told NTB.

Passengers who have already purchased tickets for flights from Torp next summer will be moved to our Gardermoen departures.

Marketing manager Tine Kleive-Mathisen at Torp Sandefjord Airport still hopes that Norwegian will return to the airport.

-They are in a process where they focus on profitability and optimization of their schedules. This means that they will enter the Summer season with reduced capacity. We hope that they will return to Torp from Autumn 2020, ” she tells Telemark’s newspaper.
