The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wants all Norwegians traveling abroad to register at reiseregistrering.no.

They must do so in order for the Foreign Ministry to provide the best possible information and assistance to Norwegians abroad, when the situation changes as quickly as it does in connection with the coronavirus.

“In order to provide the best possible information and help, we need as much information as possible about how many Norwegians are still traveling in each country,” the ministry writes in an email.

It is important that you update your place of residence and your planned return date as long as you are traveling.

The Foreign Ministry also asks travelers who have returned home to delete their entries in the register.

“We really appreciate that travelers help us in this way,” says Communications Advisor Guri Solberg at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
