The number of tourists visiting Oslo is expected to increase by 6.5 percent this year. Hundred direct flights from abroad to Oslo and several city attractions are enticing tourists, according to VisitOSLO.

– Oslo has become the biggest destination in Norway, and only 26 percent of the tourists travel on to other parts of Norway,  Bente Bratland Holm, CEO of  VisitOSLO, says to the newspaper Aftenposten.
Germans, British and Americans are the largest tourist groups in Oslo. Tourists from Sweden and Denmark  happily  travel by car or boat and do not usually have  Oslo as the main destination for their holiday.
