Health Minister Bent Høie will dedicate 50 million extra to municipalities that employ more in school health.
The news was announced during stop bullying debate at Arendal on Wednesday.
– I’ve made a new announcement to earmark 50 million more in budget to strengthen health nursing, said Høie.
Only 1.4 percent of the schools in country have nurses presented every day. The greatest shortcoming is belonging to country’s primary schools, according to a survey conducted by the Country Group of nurses in Norwegian Nurses Association (NSF), which was published earlier this month.
Number of nurses in primary schools must be increased by 125 percent to reach the Directorate of Health recommendation.
