Brende: – This is Norway at its very best

The great public celebration and winter games at the Palace Square in Oslo on Sunday could not have been better, Foreign Minister Brende said.

– This is Norway at its finest, with snow and children. It’s almost like the 17th of May in January, says Brende said.

He refers to the celebration of the Royal Couple’s 25th anniversary as regents Sunday where winter games at the Palace Square were  a part of the program.

– The most important thing with the monarchy is that it is above party politics and that it is unifying the nation, said the Foreign Minister, who believes that the Royal Couple are also important internationally.

– They represent Norway in a very good and unifying way, he says.
