Moss scoops award for having the best volunteer policy of municipalities nationwide.
Great dialogue and cooperation with volunteers
Moss Municipality has been awarded the “Volunteer Municipality of the Year 2021” in the annual ceremony run by Volunteering Norway (Frivillighet Norge) and the Norwegian Association of Local and Regional Authorities (Kommunenes Sentralforbund, KS).
The Municipality was deemed to possess the best day-to-day structure for both dialogue and cooperation with local voluntary teams and associations.
Since being first awarded in 2016, the prize hopes to highlight municipalities that have the best volunteer-based policy and structure. Sømna Municipality and Øvre Eiker Municipality were the other finalists for this year’s award.
