The training zeal of Norwegians has not increased after the reopening of the country, a recent study shows.

In March, 70% of those surveyed said they had exercised indoors or outdoors in the past week.

The proportion of people who train thus remained approximately unchanged so far this year, and is actually 2% below the average for the pandemic, the Norwegian Corona Monitor survey from Opinion shows.

“The level of training of most people and Norwegians’ physical fitness has not received a boost from Norway opening up,” senior adviser Nora Clausen in Opinion stated.

In the survey, almost four out of ten Norwegians (37%) answered that they were in worse physical shape after the corona outbreak, while 13% said they were in better shape. Half of the population said their physical shape remained unchanged.
