According to agriculture directorate the competition in the market is pushing tomato price down.

– Low tariffs and cheaper imported goods means that prices must come down to meet the competition, says adviser of Agriculture Directorate Elin Hoel to Norwegian press office (Nynorsk pressekontor).

While tomato price goes down because of competition this week several other items also are going down in price because it is the desire to have more momentum in sales including rutabaga.

Agriculture Directorate also states that it is expecting to have about 600 tons of strawberries on the market this week, despite the difficulty by fungus attacks.
