The Coronavirus crisis may cause residual tax next year
If the Coronavirus crisis is affecting your economy, you may want to check your tax card right now to avoid tax evasion next year, the tax director recommends.
In these days, the tax notice is coming for 2019, but it is also important to be aware of the amount of tax you are paying now in 2020.
– “If you are one of those affected by loss of income due to the Coronavirus through temporary layoffs or termination, you should consider changing the tax card tax basis as soon as possible,” says tax director Hans Christian Holte.
Lower bank interest rates on mortgages also result in lower tax settlement deductions. Then you risk residual tax. The tax director therefore recommends that a new calculation of the tax deduction must be made.
