At the end of September, 129,600 completely unemployed people, partially unemployed people, and job seekers were registered at the NAV. That makes up 4.6% of the Norwegian labor force.
That is 10,500 fewer job seekers than at the end of August, adjusted for seasonal variations, the NAV stated on Friday.
“We see that the reopening greatly affected the labor market. The demand for labor is at a record high level, and fewer and fewer people are registered as jobseekers with the NAV,” NAV chief Hans Christian Holte noted.
