AstraZeneca has announced that it must cut the number of vaccine doses it can deliver to Norway next week by almost half, from about 50,000 to 26,400 doses.
“The constant changes make it difficult to have a clear picture of the future,” infection control director Geir Bukholm at the National Institute of Public Health (FHI) said.
“We are constantly getting new information that makes the picture of the situation change all the time,” he noted.
The FHI was notified of the delivery cut just before a press conference was to be held on Norway’s vaccine strategy on Tuesday.
The FHI states that vaccine deliveries from Pfizer and Moderna look more stable.
